Mangete Land Invasions


The plight of the Dunn clan as it stands today is not in good shape. This is because of the lack of responcibility, reaction and support from the South African Authorities.

A brief overview of of the issue at hand is below.
Back in the year 1879 when the British forces defeated the Zulu Kingdom. After the defeat, Zululand was divided by the British into 13 smaller provinces under the kingdom. John Dunn, who was a double agent for both the British and the Zulus at the time was allocated one of the larger portions of land. This was in fact land that had already been given to him by the Zulu king Cetshwayo. It was more of a reinstatement of the land rather than being allocated by the British.

Over the years starting in approximately 1970, a number of african clans started moving onto the land allocated to John Dunn and the extended Dunn family. After many threats of violence and violent acts, the courts signed an interdict to have the illegal clansman moved off of the land. There was a sum of money put aside for the removal of the intruding people and have them moved to a separately allocated area of land that was acceptable to the intruders and to the Dunn clan.

The issue at hand is that the current government knows of the interdict and supports the interdict, but will not carry out the execution of eviction because of some new policies within the current government. Apart from the fact that the money allocated for the evictions and relocations has been stolen, they also have a new need to grab land without compensation, something that was clearly stated to the British government a few years ago, when Theresa May visited. The statement was the taking land without compensation was never going to be enforced, but they lied because exactly that is being carried out on the land.

What we are facing is being ignored and pushed aside by the current legal system, even though many of the people involved have had their lives threatened and disrupted on a daily basis.
